Displaylite has launched the new P7 mini PC with Android™ 11 ‘Red Velvet Cake’ OS, aimed at system integrators and stand builders that want to use an Android operating system with a desktop monitor, large external display, TV or touchscreen. Applications include digital signage and kiosk applications.
The P7 can operate as a standalone device, or as a cost effective, networked signage player, using a cloud based digital signage package such as NowSignage to schedule, play and manage content remotely. Third party Android kiosk apps are also available to lockdown the device, enabling you to limit user access to websites and applications. It supports seamless video playblack at up to 4K UHD @ 60fps.
The solid state device is powered by a Rockchip RK3568 Quad Core 64 bit processor, with 4GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, external TF slot (enabling storage to be expanded up to 32GB), HDMI 2.0 output and USB for connection to an external USB HID compatible touchscreen. Bluetooth 5.2 , dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and 1Gb Ethernet connectivity is provided as standard. Housed in a compact plastic case, its size allows the P7 Pro to sit discreetly behind a touchscreen or inside a kiosk.
To support custom projects, Displaylite offer firmware customisation, which can include pre-installation of apps, changes to default system settings and a custom boot logo or background.
